Wednesday
Today I woke up thinking I was running 3.5 miles, figured no problem, I can just do a quick run at the savannah, get home pretty quickly and finish cleaning up the house. Good thing I checked my calendar, because today was actually a 4 mile day. So, back to the drawing board on a route. I decided to try a new trail, which I love, it is always neat to see different places. So, Garret decided he wanted to go with me, I loaded up the bike and off we went. I have a new app on my phone that allows me to properly calculate the distance and my average high speed, so even though I was supposed to do 4 miles, I did 3.89, my fastest speed was 6.9mph. I need to set my timer on my phone so I can accurately know my times, and heck, it is nice to know how fast I am running. The run wasn't too bad, I started later than I like, and it started getting hotter a lot quicker. It was also a lot more hilly that I had run before. I had to run this route twice to make up my 4 miles, and I choose to run the hills at the end, and really it was more motivation than training tool, and it was motivating, it was nice to know that I could do it and succeed. It was a good work out day, can't wait to run tomorrow. Heck, I even thought today while I was on my run, hmmm when should I start training for my second 1/2, how about we finish the first one Sunshine.
