Last night was tough!!! Thursdays I work a 12 hour shift, and usually it isn't too terribly bad, however, yesterday was crazy. I started out on a different unit in the hospital sitting, thought ok, easy day, but then they moved me back to my regular unit because we were getting busy, and oh were we. I was already behind on stuff I needed to do, and then 2 admits back to back, 2 people going out for tests or procedures. I felt behind the entire day. Finally at oh about 6:30 I started to feel like I had things under control....I leave at 7:00. So, off on my merry little way home for my easy 2 miles, well, got home and P and her friend wanted to come with me, ok, no problem, you have to keep up and then G decided he wanted to go. And honestly, I was pretty proud of them all, the girls didn't keep up, but they ran the entire time, and G kept up with me for about a mile. Once again, I forgot to time it, I must get better at that. But it felt pretty good, I even went back and got G and ran it in with him. I think he would be a pretty good distance runner, if he ever tried.
Oh, and I forgot, I did this all on 4 hours of sleep from the night before. So proud of myself. However I was in bed by 10, lights out and dead to the world.
