The beginning

One year ago, I was overweight, out of shape and miserable.  So, I made a choice, I was going to get rid of the weight and get into shape.  I started walking, and then running, and the weight started to come off.  I started to feel better about myself.  I ran a 5K and joined a gym.  So, I decided that I wanted to do more, I wanted to run a 1/2 marathon.  I decided to team up with my sister and complete my first 1/2.  So, in 3 short months I will be running my first, I am excited and nervous to do it.  I know myself, I know that I won't be happy if I walk at all, that I am going to want to run the entire time.  So, this is my training blog, really just to keep myself honest and on track.
